Dear all,

Kindly note that the VISA Olympics launch campaign will take place on the Piazza at Melrose Arch.

The setup of the event will commence 3rd March and strike 8th March.
The main event is scheduled for the 5th March.

Whiteley Road will be closed to traffic from Melrose Blvd to Arch Cycles for the duration of the event

How?
Turn a closed event into a public one. Using the event occasion to make a spectacle that passers-by, commuters and the public will see.
The Idea.
Skateboarding has been chosen by the IOC as one of the key symbols of a new trajectory for the Olympic Games,
opening it up to a new generation of youthful, urban, excited and engaged viewers (and athletes!)
Signifying this new approach, a skateboarding half-pipe will be the focal point of the launch event, serving as the stage.
One open end will be flanked by the large LED screen. From atop the half-pipe our host will address the audience.
Skateboarders and BMXers will open the ceremony with performers joining them for a display of athleticism and sporting prowess.
