        Dear Tenant,

Please take note and inform all your staff and patrons of the African Fashion International (AFI) Fashion Week, taking place at Melrose Arch, this October.

Load in for the set up and build of the AFI event space, will commence from 16h00 on Sunday the 23rd September 2018.
Whiteley Road, being the event venue, will be closed to traffic from cnr High street (TMC Project Space) to the traffic lights on Melrose Blvd, from 23 September 2018- 6 October 2018

AFI Shows will take place from the 4-6 October 2018.
We expect on average 600pax per show over the period 4-6 October 2018
Please refer to the below “show schedule” and “venue set-up map” , for details

The strike down will commence from  7th-12th October 2018
Whiley Road will reopen thereafter.

NOTE:

  *   Whiteley Road will undergo event build-up and construction of the tents 24hours per day with mindful consideration to noise from 13h00-15h00 and 17h00-19h00
  *   Shows will take place throughout the day ending around 22h00, every measure and consideration regarding sound and noise regulations has been put in place to ensure minimal inconvenience.
  *   MAC Cosmetics are sponsors of AFI Fashion Week and as such they will be activating their brand at Slip & Cross (next to Truworths)
  *   VIP guests and show will be hosted at The Melrose Gallery and The Melrose Project Space with an intimate (Max 200pax) swimwear show hosted at the Fire and Ice Hotel.
  *   ALL shows are sold out, unfortunately there are no tickets on sale.
