THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE'S BIRTHDAY - SATURDAY, 12 MAY - SUNDAY, 13 MAY
Thomas the Tank Engine is turning 73 and you're invited to the birthday celebrations. There'll be lots of fun for little ones on the Square at Melrose Arch from 09h30 to 15h00 this weekend, as well as great prizes to be won, including eight Thomas wooden play tables valued at R5 000 each.

THE ROYAL WEDDING - SATURDAY, 19 MAY
You are cordially invited to join BBC Lifestyle at Melrose Arch's Piazza from 10h15 to 17h00 and watch on the big screen as Prince Harry and his American princess, Meghan Markle, tie the knot. Buy a picnic at Woolworths or the Gourmet Food Market in the Galleria (or bring your own) or enjoy lunch at one of the wonderful restaurants on the Piazza (Mezepoli, Woolworths Cafe, Tashas, RocoMamas, Piza e Vino and The Grillhouse). You'll also be able to get refreshments on the Piazza from Starbucks and The Grind Coffee, and catch a live wedding fashion show hosted by Cavalier, Ledikana and Bridal Warehouse.

TOYZONE KIDS' CYCLE RACE - SUNDAY, 27 MAY
The day every child looks forward to is almost here! The annual ToyZone Kids’ Cycle Race is taking place on 27 May on the Piazza and families are promised a day of fun and entertainment while raising money for charity. Children aged between three months and 13 years are welcome to enter. Prams, scooters, tricycles and bicycles are welcome, and parents may accompany their children around the circuit or, in the case of the 7-9 years and 10-13 years age categories, cycle with them. Entries cost R100 each and all proceeds will be donated to the Smile Foundation.
