<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">I have the inevitable task of informing that we have had a resident test positive for the Covid-19 virus.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The resident complained of a typical covid symptom, shortness of breath, an ambulance was called and the resident was taken to Constantiaberg Mediclinic.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">As with normal hospital admission protocols the resident was tested for the virus.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Currently the resident is still in hospital and there has been a slight improvement in their condition.
</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We have immediately instituted the recognised “tracing” protocol. All the carers that came into contact with the resident are either being tested or have been placed in quarantine.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are confident that no other residents came into contact with the resident for any extended period of time.
