[Evergreen Muizenberg] Evergreen Muizenberg Level 4 protocol

        Dear Resident,

I have had a few residents approach me regarding the new level 4 protocols announced
by the National Coronavirus Command Council, which came into effect today.

I thought I might just go over Evergreens stance and protocols again. As I said in
yesterdays mail / circular, there is not much difference between levels 4 and 5.

ACCESS TO THE VILLAGE: The main gate will be closed and access restricted. Village Management will
only accommodate necessities and emergencies. Family and friend deliveries are to be left at the entrance gate.
A nationwide curfew is in effect from 20H00 - 05H00 daily

SELF-QUARANTINE: All residents are requested to stay at home and self-quarantine. We respectfully request
residents to only leave the village in the case of an emergency or medical appointment.

EXERCISE: As per the regulation, exercise is allowed between 06h00 and 09h00. Here I again appeal to

residents to use their common-sense. We discourage all residents from leaving the village. Our village is more

than spacious enough to run or walk. As per the previous communication, of 21 April, we set up an exercise 'route',

continue to use the village roads and pathways between 07h00 to 18h00 to get your daily exercise.

Please do not cycle through the village, this area is for walkers and runners.

FRIENDS & FAMILY: Friends and family will not be allowed into the Village. We will continue to accept the items

on your behalf and deliver it to you. We will deny them access.

Again, a nationwide curfew is in effect from 20H00 - 05H00 daily.

SOCIAL DISTANCING: Residents are encouraged to keep to themselves and stay in their homes and have no
social contact. It is now mandatory to wear a cloth mask when out of your unit.
The recommended 'social distance' between yourselves is at least 2m / 6ft.
No socialising or congregation is allowed, you may not visit another residents house or apartment .

LIFESTYLE CENTRE: Remains closed, this includes the gym, swimming pool and common areas, and ALL
seating in this area. No socialising or congregation is allowed, you may not visit another residents house
Our caterers continue to serve meals daily on a take-away basis. Please find attached menu options for May.
Frozen meals and 'necessity groceries' can also be ordered and delivered to your doorstep.

FOOD DELIVERY: We continue to place orders through reception for Steenberg Pick n' Pay, this has gone well and
we again thank our Evergreen staff volunteers who assist residents with shopping. There will always be some minor
mistakes when doing different orders for up to 80 persons, I ask for your patience. As the various supermarkets get
up to date with their on-line ordering and delivering we will phase this out and ask residents to go on-line to order.
Naturally we will always be here to help you.

Restaurants and Fast food outlets deliveries are now also allowed during the hours of 09H00 - 19H00. Delivery agents
will be requested to produce the required permits upon arrival at Security. Security will call you, if payment needs to be
made you will be asked to come the gate to do so.

HEALTHCARE SERVICES: Should you need to see a healthcare worker please call the clinic, reception or press the
yellow button on your TeleCare station. Carers are living in and any extraordinary situations with regards to carers
are being assessed on a case-by-case basis by Evergreen Health. The Care Centre remain out of bounds

SERVICES: NO domestic workers or gardeners will be allowed access to the Village.
Only essential emergency services will be allowed into the village.

REFUSE COLLECTION:  City of Cape Town continue to collect refuse.
Please put out your refuse as normal before 08h30, weekdays only.

I would like to AGAIN remind everyone that Covid-19 virus is highly contagious and if you do not adhere to the lock-down
protocol you put not only yourself, but the entire village and your community at risk. I cannot stress enough that every time

you leave your home you potentially expose everyone in the village.

The elderly, that's us, and even more so those with underlying medical conditions are the most vulnerable and need to

take additional precautions. Moving to the next level, 3, will depend entirely on us as citizens adhering to the laws.
