        Dear Resident,

You all need to congratulate yourselves, this has been a fantastic effort on your part, officially 126 days !!
........ and counting, I must say I can "smell the end". All of us are fatigued regarding this dreadful
virus, it is a continual bombardment of news, analyses, conspiracy theories, cures and what to do or
rather what not to do.

Having said this we need to remain vigilant at all times, wherever we are. A good analogy is to
compare our 'lock-down journey' to a rugby match, it's no good playing hard, being careful and
"busting your gut" for 79 minutes and in the last minute of the game you concede a stupid penalty
right in front of your posts. It's almost like the whole game (lock-down journey) was pointless.

I am pleased so many residents are taking part in the activities and I encourage you all to learn
new skills, both table tennis and 8-ball pool are excellent ways to sharpen hand-eye co-ordination.

>From next week we adding a few more activities and exercise opportunities.

Pilates - will commence on Monday 3 August at 9.00 am in our gym. Margie has a regular group
of residents who have previously attended and is willing to do another class that would start at 10.00 am
Numbers are being restricted to 8 residents per session, please book at reception to reserve your space.
Participants are asked to bring their own mat, cushion and in keeping with our safety protocol a face
mask. Cost R45.00 per session

Callanetics - the ever popular classes will resume at 9.15 am on a Tuesday and again on a Friday. Sue
has a very regular and dedicated group of residents attending. If you are interested, Sue has indicated
that she is willing to add an additional class on a Tuesday. Please give your name in at reception if you
would like to attend and have not done so before. Cost R130.00 once a week per month or R260.00 for
twice a week.

Gardens/ers - I have had many questions regarding our garden service and particularly regarding the
gardeners, some who have been with us for over 10 years. Your concern has been justified as it is a
terrible experience to lose your employment. I am pleased to tell you that the gents have been busy on
other sites with work that Markus has procured.
Like the changes we have made to our lives over these months so we are also changing the way we will
be doing our gardens and public spaces.
On Monday 3 August we will have the gardeners on site for a "One-day blitz". They will be working in all
the public areas and road verges. They will not be working in your back gardens. MacDonald is tasked with
keeping that area neat. Please contact reception for any "special" requests in this regard.

Just a reminder of the general personal safety protocols

  *   Practice 'social distancing', keep a distance of at least 1.5m between you and the other person.
  *   Wear a face mask, at all times.
  *   Sanitise where ever you go, either by washing your hands frequently or using an alcohol based

sanitiser solution.

  *   Avoid potential high 'used' surfaces and then touching your mouth, eyes or nose.
  *   Cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue, if not available then into the crook of your arm / elbow.
