Subject: Spring Concert-Opra and musicals on the 4th October 2017 at 10h30.


Cape Town Opera in collaboration with the Cape Town Society for the Blind will be presenting a concert in the Heyns Room, at the centre in Salt River on the 4th of October at 10h30. This is an initiative of Cape Town Opera's Outreach and Education department. Cape Town Opera formed a new Outreach department in 2015 under the banner of Opera is my first language. This department spear-heads many projects in communities in and around Cape Town as well as nationally. One of the portfolios supports patrons with disabilities. Cape Town Opera presents signed performances for deaf patrons by Jazz Hands and has recently acquired with sponsorship from Rand Merchant Bank, five Sennheiser head-sets for use at described performances for blind patrons. The concert is part of a concert-series planned to be performed in Cape Town, Robertson, Swellendam and Montague. Six of Cape Town Opera's vibrant young singers will be presenting a program of popular opera and musical excerpts accompanied on the piano by Samantha Riedel and Paul Ferreira.

The concert is FREE.  Refreshments will be on sale.

Please provide your own transport.
