Dear Residents

In order for Encom to determine the current status and extent of plant growth in the ponds so as to accurately compare the ponds with each other we need to obtain aerial footage of the area within the pond and on the edge of the ponds. The aerial imagery together with our historic water quality data will be used to determine an action plan for the proposed aeration experiment. In order for this footage to be obtained we will need to use a drone.

The plan is to fly the drone over the ponds only on weekdays between 11:00 & 14:00 over a period of two to three weeks (weather dependant) on clear days at various heights. To avoid impinging on any of our residents' privacy, the drone will stay over the ponds and will not fly over any resident's properties. A few test flights will be done to ascertain the correct height, this will be done over the phase 8 area and Pond 7 between Waterlily and Bulrush. Thereafter, footage of the other 6 ponds will be taken.
