Subject: Interruption to electricity supply - Wednesday 3 April 2019

Dear Residents

We have received the attached notification from the City of Cape Town that there will be an interruption to the electricity supply at the Lake Michelle substation (closest to the office) tomorrow, Wednesday 3 April 2019 from 08h30 - 16h00 for circuit breaker maintenance (weather permitting).

They have assured us it will only affect the admin office and Northshore security, however we are sending this out as a precautionary measure should it affect other parts of the estate.

Should it affect the rest of the estate, please remember that our sewer system relies on electrical pumps and during an electrical disruption there may be chance of the system overloading so we therefore encourage you to be mindful of flushing the loo, bathing or showering while there is no electricity.

NOTE : Please put your geyser switch in the "off" position when the electricity goes off and switch it on again 1 hour after the electricity is restored.  This will prevent unwanted tripping that may prolong your inconvenience.
