Notification Kommetjie Road Upgrade - Lane restrictions at Capri Drive / Kommetjie Road and Buller Louw/Frigate / Ou Kaapseweg
Dear I&AP,

Lane width reductions will be implemented from Monday morning after the peak period at the Buller Louw/Frigate/OKW intersection for the existing median islands and the median mounted traffic signals and poles to be removed. This is being done to allow the contractor lane location flexibility at this location in the future when other activities require lanes to be moved.
            On Tuesday morning after the morning peak Capri Drive intersection at Kommetjie Road will be reduced to a single lane in each direction. This work signals the start of the trench excavation and installation of the large black pipes which have been brought in and strung along the pipe route. These pipes, when installed, pressure tested and commissioned, will provide an upgraded water supply to the greater Kommetjie, Ocean View, Imhoff's Gift area.
            Both these areas of work will be ongoing for a number of weeks.
