We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Janice Shelver (#318) on the 11th January. .

This Week:

·         Shopping Transport for January will meet at Reception at 09h30 on 09/01/24. Cost is R50 per trip and will be added to your levy.

·         Rummikub will be held in the Bisto on Thursday, 11th January at 2pm.  ALL welcome. Please put your names down for seating arrangements. Call reception on Ext 1400.

·         Fellowship Group will meet in the recreation room, Thursday, 11th January at 10h30 contact Mrs. J de Villiers (Ext 1504) or Mrs. Randall (Ext 1609)Thursday Tea & Cake – Join us for a chit chat on Thursday at 3pm in the Bistro.

·         Kind-2-Hearing will be in the Village between 12h30-13h30 on 12 January should you wish to make an appointment.

·         Aqua-Aerobics will take place on Wednesday, 10th January from 10h30 – 11h30 with instructor Tanya. Please call Ext 1400 to add your name to the list at reception. Classes are R50 per session and can be paid in cash on the day.

·         Saturday Braai – Residents get together every Saturday evenings at 6pm.  Bring your own meat and refreshments and gather in the Bistro.

Forthcoming Events:

- Alidas Pop Up Shop will be set up in the Recreation Lounge on Monday, 15 January from 10am.
- Bingo Night hosted by Margaret Hull (Ext 1716) on Wednesday, 17th January at 7pm. Entry fee R50 and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
- A Sales Event aimed at interested prospects will be held at the Village in the Recreation Lounge on Wednesday, 23rd January between 10am to 12-noon. If you have any friends who are interested in attending this informative morning, please let me know and we will add them onto the invitation list.
- Movie Night will take place in the Recreation Lounge on Friday, 26 January at 6pm.
- Coloring-In Mandalas – Join us for a calm creative afternoon in the Bistro on Tuesday, 16th and 30th January at 2pm. Mandalas, Crayons and Koki’s will be supplied but if you have your own, please bring them along. Please book your seat with reception on Ext 140
- Valentines Quiz Night will be held in the Recreation room on Wednesday, 7th February at 6pm. Please put your names down if you would like to attend. Fabulous prizes and a good time to be had for all.

Housekeeping:

-          The refurbishment Team and Contractors will be back on site next week. We will keep you updated on work areas. The intentions is that we continue the work undertaken last year to finish off repairs and paint the internal activity rooms, hand rails and passages.

-          Call reception to report any emergencies as we have a list of available service providers that are able to assist.

-          Bernie February (Grinnell Security) will be on annual leave from 28th December – 22nd January. Allungile Gqoboka will be moved to Day shift and we will have Mandi and Brown on night shift.

-          In the event that you need us to assist you with anything after-hours, please call reception on Ext 1400 or my Cell number 0718576428 for help.

Don’t forget to get snapping with your camera or mobile to capture special moments and submit them to our Photographic Competition. See poster attached.
