Our meal offering includes a special of the day and Bistro Menu with a selection of breakfast, toasted sandwiches, cake plus hot and cold beverages.  Please be sure to give us a heads up by 4pm the day before if you would like to order the Daily Special in the bistro. The Deli Menu is available 7-days/week from 8am-5pm. Please note that should you wish to enjoy the Deli menu that there will be delays between 12h00 – 13h00 due to pre-ordered daily specials being served for lunch. Payment accepted on pre-paid account, credit or debit card.

Activities Coming up this week:

  *   Alida’s Fashions – 19th April in the recreation room from 10h00 – 14h00
  *   Bridge Club, is held in the Recreation Room every Tuesday at 2pm. All welcome.

  *   Chair Exercise Group meets to stretch to music every Wednesday morning at 10am in the Recreation Room
  *   Bingo Night – 20th April in the Bistro @ 19h00 please call Margaret Hull on ext. 1716 to book your seat.

  *   Cake & Tea Thursday - Please join us on Thursday for Cake and a cup of Tea/Coffee and chats in the Bistro at 3pm for R25.00 per person.
  *   Film & TV Quiz Afternoon . Join us for a fun afternoon on Friday, 22nd April at 16h00 in the recreation room.  All welcome please book with Reception on Ext.1400
  *   HNA Active Aging Class connects with residents to exercise in the recreation room on Fridays at 11am
  *   Residents Braai – takes place every on Saturday evening.  Bring your own meat and refreshments and gather in the Bistro. Call Margaret Hull on Ext 1716 for additional information.

Forthcoming Events:

  *   “Let’s Talk” – A presentation will be held in the Recreation room on 25th April at 10h00. The Conversation Project initiates a discussion about transforming a culture on shifting away from not talking about dying to talking about it.  It’s time to share the way you want to live at the end of your lives. And it’s time to communicate to your family, friends and medical workers about the kind of care you want and don’t want for yourselves.  Everyone is welcome to join us for this presentation on how to start the Conversation. Please put your name down at Reception. Tea & Biscuits will be served. All welcome.
  *   Games Evening – 27th April –Recreation room – starts at 18h00 book with Margaret Lee – ext. 1519
  *   Movie Night – 29th April – Recreation room starts at 18h00 – All welcome – book with Margaret Lee – ext. 1519
  *   Line dancing - Classes will commence on Tuesday,  3 May at 10am in the Recreation Room. ALL welcome.

Housekeeping:

  *   Just a reminder that we will collect Refuse Bins on Easter Monday. Please assist us and only put out your rubbish bins early on a Saturday (bins get emptied and swopped) and early on Monday morning (bins get washed and sanitised before they are replaced).

  *   Library – Please ensure that should you return a book to the library that you place it on the table clearly marked. We sanitise all books prior to putting them back on the shelf. Your cooperation is appreciated.
  *   Please note that Grant Shultz has gone on annual leave and we have Shireen Adams who will be standing in for him until his return.
  *   Shopping Transport will meet at Village at 09h15 every Alternate Tuesday. The next trip is planned for 19/04 [Blue Route) and 03/05 [Constantia Village]. R30 per trip will be added to your levy account. It is important to book your seat with reception on Ext 1400. If we have no bookings by the Monday, we will cancel the trip for Tuesday.

Please note that our duty manager, Siviwe de Beer is on site for the Easter Weekend should you require any assistance.
