HEALTHCARE
SR Lorraine Powell has taken some to move home, she will be away until 3 November. She will be replaced with SN Zuko Mkalipi who most of you will remember from last December.   Just a reminder that ENA Tatenda Muriranyama willbe taking some well earned rest as ENA Faith Dlepu has returned to the village.

Diep River Bistro – Our Lunch offering includes a special of the day and Bistro Menu with a selection of breakfast, toasted sandwiches, cake plus hot and cold beverages. Please be sure to give us a heads up by 4pm the day before if you would like to order the Daily Special in the bistro. Please note that no Cash Payments will be accepted. Please pay on pre-paid account, credit or debit card.

FRIDAY, 05 November - Fried/Grilled Hake served with Tartar Sauce, Chips and Garden Salad OR Spinach & Feta Quiche and Garden Salad
Coming up this week:
Every Tuesday - Shopping Transport to Constantia Village OR Blue Route will meet at Village at 9.30am

  *   Monday, 01 November – IEC  pop up shop will be set up in the recreation Room from 10am.
  *   Tuesday, 02 November - Bridge Club, hosted by John Taylor, will be held in the Recreation Room every Tuesday at 2pm. All welcome.
  *   Tuesday 02/Wednesday 03 November - Please note that First Aid Training for Evergreen Managers will be held in Unit 219 on Tuesday/Wednesday this week from 9am-4pm.
  *   Wednesday 03 November - Chair Exercise Classes will be held in the Recreation Room from 10am - 1am
  *   Thursday, 04 November – Fellowship meeting will take place in the Recreation Room from 10.30am – 11.30am on Thursday
  *   Friday, 05 November - HNA Active Aging Class - Calling all residents who wish to keep active by learning how to keep fit gently without undue strain on the body. For additional information or to book your place as space is limited, please contact Amanda George on Ext 1401.
  *   Saturday, 06 November – Resident Braai will be held in the Bistro. If you have any queries please call Margaret Lee on Ext 1519.
  *   Sunday, 07 November – Sunday Lunch will be held in the Bistro from 12h30. Please book lunch with WPC on Ext 1404
 Forthcoming Events:

  *   We are excited to announce our Spanish Theme Dinner will be held on Wednesday, 10th November at 6pm. A delicious traditional menu is offered at R125 per person. Olé
  *   We are arranging a trip to the  NSRI on Monday, 15 November at 10am in Simonstown. The base tour will be followed by a scrumptious seafood lunch at Bertha's on the waterfront. There is a transport fee of R30 (added to your levy) and lunch will be for your account. Please book your seat with reception on Extension 1400 before Thursday, 11 November.
  *   Movie Night – Friday, 26 November.  Bring your own refreshments
  *   Please diarise the Village Year End function to be held in Bistro on Friday, 10 December. A full Christmas Dinner will be served in the Bistro,  with Christmas Carols and a Secret Santa. Watch out for details to be posted on the Notice Board and circulated shortly.
Housekeeping:

  *   Library – Please ensure that should you return a book to the library that you place it on the table clearly marked. We sanitise all books prior to putting them back on the shelf. Your cooperation is appreciated.
  *   Refurbishment News - There have been some small delays with the contract and we are expecting the contractors to be on site soon. We will keep you updated.
