Thank you for your tremendous support over the past week, I have received a flood of compliments and thank you notes telling me how grateful you are for what Evergreen is doing for its residents.

This morning we received further instructions from the South African Police Service to strictly adhere to the Lockdown regulation as published in the Government Gazette on 25 March 2020, this was endorsed by the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS).

None of us are above the law, not even people living in security estates or lifestyle villages and the lockdown regulations states clearly: -
- Leaving of your house is limited to your private garden area only;
- NO Walking, NO Jogging, or walking of dogs within enclosed estates are allowed.

We have taken advice from residents within villages, lawyers and medical experts and believe this is the BEST action to support the government and each other to STOP the spread and flatten the curve.

VULNERABLE RESIDENTS

Evergreen has set up a free COUNSELLING SUPPORT HOTLINE - 072 356 7127 to support residents during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Further to this, we have established a team of volunteers who will be phoning single and vulnerable residents to engage with them on a daily basis.

VILLAGE ACCESS

Please support us. We do not want this virus to get into our Village.

Therefore, this village is on complete lockdown, this means: -
- No entry to anyone unless in a life or death emergency;
- All deliveries must be dropped off at the Work station at the Lifestyle Centre.
- No exiting the village unless authorized by Village Management;
- Please do NOT leave the village for food or essentials, the management team will assist in arranging delivery with local grocery stores and pharmacies.

These are trying times; many are anxious and the uncertainty that surrounds us is unsettling. Please support us by adhering to these rules, we are here for you and our decisions are based on national laws, your safety, health, and well-being.

Life is so precious ... we cannot afford for this virus to get into our Village, please help us to help you. Collectively we are saving lives.
