Talk this Saturday at 10:00am at Broadacres Garden Centre on Palliative care

Dear Residents

There may come a time when a patient is better served being treated at home rather than in a hospital ward. What does this mean for the family and carers? Are they prepared for the added burden of responsibilities? Are they emotionally prepared for the journey ahead?

We will be hosting a talk on Palliative and home-based care on 25 January 2020, aimed at anyone who has been or will be embarking on a home-care journey. The talk will be given by Dr Ed Schutze and Sr Chantal Masters from the palliative practice GP for Home Visits, based in Morningside.

All are welcome. Please will you share this as you deem appropriate with your support staff, patients and families to inform, educate and equip those who need to know. Booking is essential as places are limited.
